FERTILIZER:-
Banana is a heavy feeder and shows good response to manuring. It is advisable to have soil test before preparation of land so that appropriate recommendations could be given. However, the general recommendation is 200-220:60-70:300-410 gms of N:P:K ( Nitrogen: Phosphorus : Potassium) upto 300 days of planting as per growth.

Method & type of application:
Apply the fertilizer after opening a basin around the plant at a distance of 45cm, 60cm, & 75cm depending on the growth of plants. After the application of fertilizer cover the basin with soil & irrigate the field.
B.DRIP IRRIGATED FIELD:
Drip irrigation has the major advantage of using soluble fertilizer through the irrigation water, a technique called fertigation. Fertigation gives flexibility in application of fertilizer which enables to meet the specific crop requirements at various stages of growth.
